CHOOSING FRAMES TO SUIT YOU
When picking the right frame for you, the first thing is to determine your face shape.

If you have a Round face then Rectangular or Square frames will enhance your face by making it look slimmer and longer.
​
If you have an Oval face then any shape will suit you but pick one that is no wider than the widest part of your face to maintain your balanced shape.
​
Square faces are better suited by Oval or circular frames that are wider than they are deeper.
Heart shaped faces will benefit from round frames to draw attention from a wide forehead.

SPECTACLES LENSES
After your eye examination and your prescription has been determined our team will recommend the best choice of lenses to suit you.

There are 3 main types of lenses, they are:
SINGLE VISION
These are lenses for either distance or reading prescriptions
BIFOCAL
Bifocal lenses are a lined segment lens for clear vision at two prescribed distances, including reading up close and clear vision in the distance. The upper portion of the lens is for seeing in the distance and the bottom segment is to see at a reading distance. The segment for reading is available in several shapes.
VARIFOCAL/PROGRESSIVE
Varifocal or Progressive lenses are like bifocal lenses but don’t have any visible lines on the lens. Varifocal lenses have a gradual change in strength from the top of the lens to the bottom with multiple focal points allowing you to see all distances and focus points through just one lens.

OPTIONAL EXTRAS
If you have a high prescription or just want a more cosmetically pleasing look then we can do a thinner and lighter lens.
Here at NUVISION EYECARE we stock a range of Sunglasses or alternatively you could add a tint or transition lenses (explained below) to an ordinary frame.

Hard Coating
A scratch resistant coating that increases life expectancy of lens and reduces superficial surface scratches.
Standard Multi Anti Reflection Coating (MAR)
This coating provides a reflection free/scratch resistant and a partial UV protection to the lens.
Premium MAR Coating
In addition to the Standard MAR coating the Premium MAR coating is Water Repellent (water runs off), Dust Resistant and Smudge Resistant making it much easier to clean and giving your eyes the clearest vision possible.
Transitions
A lens which darkens when exposed to sunlight and then lightens again when indoors giving full UV protection. They are available in several colours Inc. Grey, Brown, Green please ask for more details.
